✨Kristen Allred Piano Studio in Wake Forest, NC
I provide engaging piano lessons that go far beyond a standard method book approach. I include motivational repertoire, theory, composition, and arranging.
In my studio, I tailor each lesson to the needs of the student, starting with method books to establish a strong foundation, then quickly expanding into a variety of styles based on individual interests.
Classical training provides the core, while carefully selected repertoire keeps students motivated, inspired, and excited to play.
Students are encouraged to explore music they love, and when the right piece isn’t available, I often create custom arrangements to match their level and interests, making their musical experience truly personal.
✨What Students Experience In My Studio
Lessons go far beyond simply learning notes. Students develop a well-rounded musical foundation while staying engaged and inspired.
Students will:
- Learn music they love—classical, pop, sacred, jazz, and more
- Build strong technique through scales, chords, arpeggios, and efficient practice strategies
- Develop musical expression by learning how to shape phrases and bring music to life
- Understand music theory, including chords, intervals, key signatures, time signatures, and the circle of fifths
- Explore composition and arranging (if interested), applying what they learn to create their own music
- Use professional composing software to notate their work
- Have opportunities to enter composition contests, with many students earning recognition at the state level
- Perform in recitals and participate in local music festivals
Every lesson is designed to help students feel confident, motivated, and excited to keep progressing.
